Carbon Capture Utilization (CCU)
CCU is the Capture and use of CO2 and other gases and is essential in mitigating Green House Gas (GHG) emissions according to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA).
CCU technology deployed by Free Earth, LLC is a patented, specialized system (Direct Air Capture) that can be added to existing metropolitan buildings that operate an HVAC system. Additionally, the system can be an add on to new construction planning and policy.
The CCU system minimizes energy consumption by utilizing ambient air collection through the existing operation of the HVAC cooling tower.
The captured carbon can then be sequestered (CCS) or utilized in multiple market opportunities such as enhanced oil recovery (EOR), agriculture applications or added to cement and aggregates in making concrete.
